SUMMARY:Kouchibouguac Spring Star Fest
DESCRIPTION:(Clickez ici pour en français) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for our annual Spring Star Fest at Kouchibouguac National Park. Several telescopes will be set-up on Friday and Saturday nights\, to allow the public to view the wonders of the night sky – no equipment or experience needed. Weather permitting\, we’ll be able to see various star clusters\, galaxies\, nebulae\, as well as the planets Jupiter and Venus. \n\n\n\nDuring Saturday afternoon\, drop by to take a close-up view of the sun through our safe solar-filtered telescopes. If you need help with your telescope\, experienced amateur astronomers will be available to provide you with assistance at the telescope clinic. \n\n\n\nPreceding the evening observation sessions\, there will be a presentation at the Outdoor Theatre where you can learn about the celestial wonders that can be observed that evening. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage credit: Paul Owen\n\n\n\n\n\nFor VisitorsThe star party activities are free and open to the public\, however\, regular entrance fees apply. You may purchase a permit at the kiosk of the South Kouchibouguac Campground\, which will remain open until 9PM. If you want to camp overnight\, you’ll need to book a campsite with the park by calling 1-877-RESERVE\, or by reserving online. Plusieurs télescopes seront en place les vendredi et samedi soirs pour permettre au public d’observer les merveilles du ciel nocturne. Si la météo le permet\, on pourra voir des amas d’étoiles\, des galaxies\, des nébuleuses\, ainsi que les planètes Jupiter et Vénus. \n\n\n\nPendant le samedi après-midi\, venez passer voir le soleil agrandi dans nos télescopes spécialement filtrés. Si vous avez besoin de l’aide avec votre télescope\, il y aura des astronomes amateurs qui pourront vous assister. \n\n\n\nPrécédant les sessions d’observation nocturnes\, il y aura une présentation au Théâtre en plein-air où vous pourrez apprendre à propos des merveilles célestes qui seront observables pendant la soirée. \n\n\n\n\n\nCrédit photo: Paul Owen\n\n\n\n\n\nPour les visiteursLes activités du gala d’étoiles sont gratuites et ouvertes au public\, cependant\, les frais d’entrée réguliers s’appliquent. S’il vous faut un permis\, le kiosque à l’entrée du camping Kouchibouguac Sud sera ouvert jusqu’à 21h. S’il vous faut un site pour le camping\, veillez SVP réserver votre site à travers Parcs Canada en téléphonant 1-877-RESERVE\, ou bien en réservant en-ligne.
