SUMMARY:Kouchibouguac Spring Star Fest
DESCRIPTION:(Clickez ici pour en français) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for our annual Spring Star Fest at Kouchibouguac National Park. Several telescopes will be set-up on Friday and Saturday nights\, to allow the public to view the wonders of the night sky – no equipment or experience needed. Weather permitting\, we’ll be able to see various star clusters\, galaxies\, nebulae\, as well as the planets Jupiter and Venus. \n\n\n\nDuring Saturday afternoon\, drop by to take a close-up view of the sun through our safe solar-filtered telescopes. Weather permitting\, we’ll be able to see various star clusters\, galaxies\, and nebulae. \n\n\n\nPreceding the evening observation sessions\, there will be a presentation at the kitchen shelter near site 44\, where you can learn about the night sky wonders that can be observed that evening. \n\n\n\nDuring Saturday afternoon\, drop by to take a close-up view of the sun through our safe solar-filtered telescopes. Bring along your telescope for a free set and tuning. If you need instructions on operation\, there will be amateur astronomers on hand to guide you through the use and set-up of your telescope. One of our astrophotographers will be there to show you how to take pictures of the Milky Way with your camera\, and to answer any questions related to photographing the night sky. SUMMARY:Kouchibouguac Fall Star Fest
DESCRIPTION:(Clickez ici pour en français) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for our annual Fall Star Fest at Kouchibouguac National Park. Several telescopes will be set-up on Friday and Saturday nights\, to allow the public to view the wonders of the night sky – no equipment or experience needed. Weather permitting\, we’ll be able to see various star clusters\, galaxies\, nebulae\, as well as the moon. \n\n\n\nDuring Saturday afternoon\, drop by to take a close-up view of the sun through our safe solar-filtered telescopes. If you need help with your telescope\, experienced amateur astronomers will be available to provide you with assistance at the telescope clinic. \n\n\n\nPreceding the evening observation sessions\, there will be a presentation at the Outdoor Theatre where you can learn about the celestial wonders that can be observed that evening. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage credit: Roger Pitre\n\n\n\n\n\nFor VisitorsThe star party activities are free and open to the public\, however\, regular entrance fees apply. Plusieurs télescopes seront en place les vendredi et samedi soirs pour permettre au public d’observer les merveilles du ciel nocturne. Si la météo le permet\, on pourra voir des amas d’étoiles\, des galaxies\, des nébuleuses\, ainsi que la lune. \n\n\n\nPendant le samedi après-midi\, venez passer voir le soleil agrandi dans nos télescopes spécialement filtrés.
