Friday, June 2nd

8:30PM to 9:30PM

“What’s Up” Slideshow Presentation

At the Outdoor Theatre (between South Kouchibouguac campground and Ryans Rental Centre).

Come see what’s in store for tonight. We’ll talk about the celestial objects that will be visible in the night sky and through the telescopes.

10:00PM to 12:00AM

Telescope and Binocular Night Sky Viewing (weather permitting)

At the astronomer’s campsite, in the South Kouchibouguac campground, near site 194.

Come look through our telescopes and enjoy the views, as we observe the moon, the planet Jupiter, and beautiful clusters of stars.

Saturday, June 3rd

12:00PM to 4:00PM

Solar Observing (weather permitting)

At the astronomer’s campsite, in the South Kouchibouguac campground, near site 194.

Come take a close look at our nearest star, the sun, through our specially-designed telescopes and filters that allows safe viewing of the sun. Depending on solar activity, you can see sun spots and solar prominences.


Telescope Clinic

At the astronomer’s campsite, in the South Kouchibouguac campground, near site 194.

If you own a telescope, and need some help with its use or with collimation, we can provide you free assistance. We’ll have the tools on hand to perform the basic set-up and alignment for most telescopes.
